Consider completing and printing the Empowered Patient Toolkit prior to traveling to PHA's International PH Conference and Scientific Sessions. Keep this with you at all times during PHA 2024 in case of an emergency.
Accessible Hotel Rooms
The JW Marriott Indianapolis has a limited number of accessible hotel rooms that comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Demand for ADA-compliant rooms will be high, and rooms will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The hotel will try to assign patients rooms on lower floors and as close to elevators as possible.
Wheelchair Assistance at the Airport
If you need wheelchair assistance to navigate the airport, contact your airline before you depart. Make sure you request wheelchair assistance at your home airport and in Indianapolis for both legs of your trip.
Each airline has representatives to provide wheelchair assistance at the airport, but you might encounter long lines if you wait to request assistance at check-in.
On the day of your flight, get to the airport early in case you have to wait for a wheelchair.
Translation Services
All general sessions and patient breakout sessions at the PHA International PH Conference and Scientific Sessions will be available in Spanish via an app on your personal mobile device or computer. There will be QR codes in each session and at registration to assist you in downloading this app. Additional languages may be available based on attendee need.
Refrigerators and Oxygen
All hotel rooms at the JW Marriott Indianapolis have a mini refrigerator. If you have additional requests, please note them at hotel check-in.
If you require oxygen, please make arrangements with an oxygen provider prior to your arrival in Indianapolis. The hotel can receive your pre-ordered oxygen supplies and deliver them to your room upon check-in.
